Hi, I'm Yash.

I photograph celebrations across the GTA — weddings, garba nights, mehndi ceremonies, engagements, and the family gatherings that hold all of it together.

What I'm after is the frame nobody posed for. The aunt laughing at something off-camera. The half-second before a bride's family closes in around her. The blur of hands during a dandiya round. Posed portraits matter and I'll get you those, but the images people actually return to years later are almost never the ones they knew were being taken.

I shoot with available light when the room gives me something worth using, and off-camera flash when the energy of the night demands it. Cultural events are hard to photograph well — the lighting is unpredictable, the schedule moves, and the important moments don't announce themselves. Knowing the rituals means I'm already standing in the right place when they happen.
